X10 Is DoCoMo’s Best Selling Smartphone … EVER!

Sony Ericsson will no doubt be pleased with the news from Japan that the X10 has become NTT DoCoMo’s best selling smartphone  … ever! The X10 has reportedly sold 100,000 units within 20 days, beating the previous best smartphone result of 80,000 units in 10 months. Nokia release first batch of N8 photo samples!

Nokia were quite late to join the 8.0 Megapixel party with the Nokia N86 8MP and whilst the Symbian slider was one of the best camera phones we’d seen, other manufacturers were already breaking new ground in image resolution and video capture. Now, once again Nokia are set to launch their first entrant in the 12 Megapixel space whilst two of their key rivals, Samsung and Sony Ericsson , have both had 12 Megapixel camera phones on the market for over 6 months. Of course, the N8 has some key advantages over its rivals (HD Video/ HDMI output/ all new Symbian OS) but how does the still camera measure up?

AT&T might carry HTC Legend

According to FCC and engadget , the H TC Legend , which has been confirmed coming to North American via Sprint , now it is said the Legend might come to AT&T , too. Why we say like this? That’s because FCC has just passed one HTC phone, model as HTC PB76110 , which appears to be just  the North American version of  HTC Legend (we know it is called HTC PB76100 in European).

Sony Ericsson files application to trademark the word ‘Nexus’ in the EU

Sony Ericsson has filed an application with the Trademarks and Design Registration Office of the European Union to trademark the word ‘Nexus’. BumpTop – The Future Of Android?

Some of you may have heard of BumpTop before but they have recently come to light again due to the fact that they have just been bought by Google! For anyone who hasn’t seen BumpTop in action you might want to check out the demo on YouTube: So what does this mean? Well having bought the company Google have immediately removed BumpTop from sale and the free version is available for only a few more days from bumptop.com sugesting that they have plans to make use of it. The most likely place for them to do so is of course in Chrome OS but it’s not unreasonable to expect some of the features to trickle down into Android as well.

Xperia X10 Mini spotted in Vodafone catalogues
