As the launch of the X10 draws ever nearer the fine chaps at Sony Ericsson have posted up a video of the X10 being unboxed. Two important points to note with this video; this is the commercial version of the handset so this is what you will get in the box yourself, you may have seen earlier unboxing videos with different packaging and contents, but those were pre-production models. Sony PlayStation Phone?
Will there be a Sony cell phone based on the playstation? Well, it looks like there may be one in production. It was only a matter of time before Sony decided that they were going to develop a smart phone that would allow you to download and play Sony PlayStation games. This information is based on a report from the Wall Street Journal that was published on Thursday, March 4. This is in response to Apple corporations growing market share in the mobile gaming sector. It is anticipated that the new smart phone will give Apple some competition with its upcoming release of the iPad, as well as the numerous gaming options available for the iPhone through the app store as well as the upcoming release of the iControlPad made specifically for the iPhone. The smart phone that Sony is developing will also be able to be utilized with their online gaming platform that will be released later this month in the United States. This service will have many of the same things that Apple is currently offering through its iTunes and mobile application store. Sony is hoping to be able to offer services not only for mobile phones, but allow people to access many of its games through its online platform

It’s not rocket science of course and most of you will not need to be told how to upload a video, but it’s useful or less experienced users and it’s always nice to see the X10 in action again. Xperia X10 heading To O2-UK (Surely)
It seems that the Xperia X10 will be heading to O2-UK after they posted a pretty big give away on their site. There’s no clue as to when it should arrive just yet but the fact that their “Smart phones” page is now showing the X10 at front centre in their apparent lineup suggests that it can’t be far away. Sony Ericsson Aspen – WinMo 6.5.3 official!
There have obviously been a lot of rumours about Windows Mobile over the past month or so with stories about WM7 and WM6.6 being rumoured to be announced at MWC later this month. Personally I think we’ll hear about Windows Mobile 7 at MWC but I’m not sure we’ll see much of it. Last month at CES one handset appeared quietly at the end sporting a new update to 6.5: 6.5.3 This morning I woke to an email from Sony Ericsson announcing their new Aspen handset.
