Just thought I would help others that holding the “C” or “2+5″ keys didn’t work on m W760. I had to load Sony Ericsson Update Service as the wizard instructs me to hold the “5″ key on my phone.

No X2 for the UK?

The launch of the X2 in the UK has had a major setback today with the news that Vodafone, which had exclusive rights to the X2 in Britain, will be dropping the handset from their portfolio. Vodafone have cited ‘delays in testing’ as the reason behind their decision. A Vodafone spokesperson infored IT PRO that the network no longer had plans to offer the device: The delivery date of the device, with Windows 6.5, slipped pre-Christmas due to a series of technical issues and we have taken the decision not to go ahead with the launch as it no longer fits with our planned portfolio

LG GD880 Photos Leaked! LG GD880 Specs Revealed

The LG GD880 , actually already rumored since a month ago, but there’s nothing we can digg except the basic specs. The first leaked LG GD880 specs are 480 x 854 pixels resolution & 3.2-inches touchscreen, FM radio, GPS, Bluetooth, 5 megapixel camera, 3G with HSDPA support, 100MB internal storage and microSD card slot. The LG GD880 also already spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance database, so it’s safe to assume LG GD880 is Wi-Fi enabled.

Kanna – Kurara’s Sister

Mitch over on se-blog.com has posted up some pictures of Kanna, a sibling of Kurara. It’s not just the names that are similar, the specifications are largely similar; the main difference being that Kanna sports a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Mitch reckons the announcement will be during the MWC in February

Xperia X10 Heading To Canada In Q2

That infernal twitter nonsense, that everyone but me seems to like, appears to have helped draw attention to something worth looking at. Canadian mobile phone network Rogers have tweeted (what a ridiculous term!) that they are to receive the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 in Q2 of 2010. Thankfully there is also a link to the real part of the internet where there is more information about the phone and launch, though of course we already know all about the phone: Toronto , January 5, 2010 – Canadians will be among the first in the world to experience open and integrated social media, communication and entertainment with the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia ™ X10 phone, which will make its North American debut first in Canada , exclusively from Rogers .

Google Nexus One: the end of the OHA?

For those unfamiliar with the group, the OHA (Open Handset Alliance) are a group of handset manufacturers, software developers and network operators dedicated to delivering open mobile standards to mobile devices. Put simply, the OHA are the people behind the Android operating system, the first complete, open and free mobile platform, and counts the likes of Google, HTC , Sony Ericsson , Samsung , Motorola and LG as members.
