The N900 Gets Its First (Major) Update: PR1.1

Grab the latest Maemo PR1.1 update now! A massive 90MB update was released today for the Nokia N900. There are way, way too many changes to list here, so I’ll pull out a couple of the highlights: – Performance improvements in Browser – Silence ringing by flipping face down – Lower RAM consumption while capturing video.

Samsung Galaxy Features Review

As expected, Bell launched two major smartphones recently, a new addition to the telecommunications company’s HSPA-capable fledgling line. Unlocked Samsung Galaxy was the company’s first ever-Android phone and it is the very first North American version of the said handset with 3G capability, 1900MHz and 850MHz onboard. Samsung Galaxy also has Android Market along with other apps included in the said android.

Video: Starcraft on the Nokia N900

I actually intended on uploading and posting a similar game related N900 video but I just saw Starcraft on the N900 and thought I’d post this first. Look how well it seems to run on the N900 (we’ll have to see how it handles larger unit base/fighting off enemies), especially now being touch operated.

Camera: X6 vs N900

As I said in my X6 review, I thought I would test out the Camera on the X6 and compare this to the N900 (as it’s the only other phone I have right now). You can see below how they compare: As you can see the Nokia X6 seems to actually be better in pictures  1, 2, 4, 6 and 8 where the images are a lot more clear, vivid and colours match to how they look in real life. I think image 5 is a bit of a tie, both seem to have come out very similar and the N900 is better in images 3 and 7
