Internet radio has been on the web since long and has catched up with the mobile platform off late. While the likes of Pandora and Last.fm rule the roost, there are several online radio stations beaming live radio to netizens across the globe. However, internet radio is something that our 5800 has been intrinsically missing with the Symbian 5th edition OS lacking a dedicated internet radio client.

Nokia’s CEO on the future of the mobile industry
Nokia Chairman, CEO and President Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo was recently interviewed by Om Malik on the Gigaom technology blog. During the interview Olli-Pekka offered his thoughts on where Nokia is headed and the importance of mobile services. Android Shows Improvement In Two Key Areas
As if all the CTIA love that Android received wasn’t enough, the open source mobile platform made significant gains in two key areas recently. As you know, for a mobile platform to have any gravity it has two have two things: 1) a healthy market share and 2) enough applications and services to keep users interested. This excitement drives further market share. Android Market Share Increases According to analytics firm comScore, Android is gaining quickly in market share on the iPhone. Also, Palm and Microsoft’s share of the mobile pie is shrinking

What’s Nokia and Newegg Up To?
Happy Easter, from Nokia & Newegg to you. A little something arrived in my mailbox yesterday…(updated!) A large Cadbury “crunchie” Easter egg, courtesy of the fine folks over at Womworld . That was mysterious in itself, but included in the box was a message that read “We just wanted to let you know of a new exciting project between Nokia & Newegg.com…keep your eyes peeled for more information!” Interesting.

Nokia Ovi Maps now available on the Nokia N86
One of the huge advantages of owning a Nokia device right now is the totally free access to the Nokia Maps application . The list of handsets on which the free maps would work when announced back in January included most of the leading Nokia handsets on the market, but one noticeable exception was the Nokia N86 .

Unlimited "Comes With Music" Service of Nokia Coming to India

HTC Releases Response to Apple’s Suit
HTC the manufacturer of many Android and Windows Mobile phones, has issued a statement arguing against claims made by Apple in their patent infringement suit they filed early this month. “HTC disagrees with Apple’s actions and will fully defend itself. HTC strongly advocates intellectual property protection and will continue to respect other innovators and their technologies as we have always done, but we will continue to embrace competition through our own innovation as a healthy way for consumers to get the best mobile experience possible,” said Peter Chou, chief executive officer, HTC Corporation.
