Meet our first Home Entertainment Hero

Our current Home Entertainment Hero competition is giving those hosts who make the extra effort the chance to win an excellent full 3D home cinema system. LG Application Store – coming soon to the UK

The newly revamped LG App store is currently available across Asia and Australia, but the good news is that the LG applications store is coming soon! The app store opened with 1400 apps covering everything from games to education, finance to travel, with the number having risen steadily since the app store launch. LG UK customers will soon have access to apps including The Sims 3, Worms 2010 and of course Solitaire. For the more practical minded of you there are also cooking apps, language translators and visitor guides to numerous cities internationally amongst a whole host of other great apps

LG have teamed up with YouTube and the world famous filmmakers Ridley Scott and Kevin MacDonald in asking people around the world to help them create the first user generated feature length documentary shot in one day – the 24th of July 2010.

Ben Cohen MBE lowers his carbon emissions with LG’s Therma V water heater

The England football team may have crashed out of the World Cup prematurely, but we can still take comfort in being one of the best rugby union teams of the past 10 years, with a World Cup title and another appearance in the final. Ben Cohen MBE was one of the key players in the successful 2003 Rugby World Cup campaign and remains England’s 3rd highest try scorer of all time. But not a lot of people know that he is also keen on self-suffiency for his family home, and is considering installing solar panels at the 17 acre site…

RIM, Google and Skype Asked to Present Email and Other Data by Indian Government

The ghost of DoT (Department of Telecommunication, India) has again come back in the lives of RIM, Skype and Google. The Indian governement has asked these companies that they should share the email data with the Indian telecom and information authorities.If any of these companies fail to produce the data which is not complaint to the department’s standards, Indian government might block or ban these companies to operate in India.As of now there is no official statement from any of these three companies but given the sheer size of the population, who use these services in India, I am sure the companies and the government would figure out a way around this issue.

The HB965TZ, LE5900 and LE8900 reviews are in!

Techradar recently gave the LG BD750 Blu-ray player a 5 star rating and now the HB965TZ Blu-ray player has received a 5 star review and taken the top prize in a group test with What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision. The HB965TZ is an all in one speaker and Blu-ray combo offering wireless connectivity and “stylish design”. Up against similar offerings from JVC, Panasonic and Samsung, the LG walks away with the top prize being “a wonderfully rounded, highly capable all-in-one system”.
