Latest date for mobile number portability: March 2010 end Indian Department of Telecommunications has stated that the implementation of mobile number portability has been delayed till the end of March this year. The good news is that the Indian government has decided to implement it in the entire country in one single step. Earlier plans were to enable it in bigger cities initially and then launch it in smaller cities

Bharti Airtel invests $300 million in Warid Telecom Bharti Airtel has received approval to invest around USD 300 million in Abu Dhabi Group’s Warid Telecom. Warid Telecom is the fourth largest mobile operator in Bangladesh. Bharti would acquire a 70% stake in the company through this investment.

well this is what i got today during http download in tharamani chennai Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see images. i would say that i has only do with placing of the device so people complaining about getting full singnal and low speed try experimenting with you device by putting in different place…

330 Kbps in 1x cdma
i am using 1x cdma as in my city, evdo is not starting Guests cannot see images in the messages. Bharti Airtel to setup Wi-Fi zones around the country Bharti Airtel has announced that they are soon going to enter into the Wi-Fi market by setting up zones around the country. Tata is currently the leading internet service provider in the country through such Wi-Fi zones. BSNL is also in the process of setting up similar services throughout the country.

Mobile number portability and TRAI: Suckers
As per the media reports, the mobile number portability is delayed because BSNL and MTNL were not ready for it. In any case, I am toying with the idea of filing a second RTI application but my attention is fixated on academics and it would be impossible to keep a track of the same.
