LG’s guide to Android
Google’s Android operating system is quickly overtaking Apple’s share of the smartphone market – with Google activating 100,000 new Android phones everyday, compared with just 30,000 daily last year. Google state they are shipping 9 million Android phones every quarter compared to 8.75 million iPhones*, a truly meteoric rise for an operating system that was only launched in late 2008.

HTC EVO 4G can match the iPhone 4 any day!
With the release of the U nlocked IPhone 4 a few days ago, many developers and phone manufacturers have now started paying attention and worrying that their sales would drop. However, one manufacturer that does not worry about the iPhone 4 is that of Sprint as according to the Chief Financial Officer of the Company, while the iPhone might have certain features that stand out against other manufacturers, HTC’s EVO 4G, carried by Sprint, can hold its own and prevent current users from flocking to the iPhone. There might be some truth in this considering EVO is the first 4G mobile launched in the country.

More details leaked on RIM touch-based slider hybrid
BlackBerry Storm 3 leaked image Research in Motion is rumored to be working on a touch screen phone hybrid that also includes a slider style keyboard, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal and our previous reports dubbing the device the BlackBerry Storm 3 . Those familiar with the new hardware claim it is not unlike Apple’s iPhone and boasts many similar technical feats, possibly similar to RIM’s patents from 2008

CounterPath Launches VoIP App for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch
CounterPath , one of the early pioneers of SIP softphones, just launched Bria iPhone Edition for Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Bria iPhone Edition works over both 3G and Wi-Fi networks and is the first SIP softphone on the iPhone that supports SRTP and TLS for security.
