I for one have been backwards and forwards thinking it’ll be great then wondering if some of the design decisions really make sense. I know an awful lot of people were hoping that the iPad would run either OSX are at least some new OS that offered a similar experience to a netbook

Apple announces UK iPad on-sale dates
Wi-Fi iPad in late March, 3G iPad in April Apple has announced that the Wi-Fi model of its iPad media tablet will go on sale in the UK in “late March”. The 3G Apple iPad will be available in the UK sometime in April. Apple has not yet released its UK iPad pricing.

Had Apple Been Working on Video Conferencing for iPad?
Engadget is reporting that evidence has been uncovered in iPad 3.2 SDK supporting the idea that Apple had been working on video conferencing for the new device. We’re told that there are hooks to accept and decline a video conference, flip a video feed (which suggests a front-facing camera) and — most importantly — run the video call in either full screen mode or in just a portion of the screen. That means you’ll be able to chat and do other things at the same time, which could mean there’s at least some type of multitasking going on here

Along with mail, calendars and contacts, Entourage for Exchange Web Services (EWS) now syncs notes and tasks with Exchange. However, users are reporting mixed results. Notes and tasks seem to sync reliably when using Apple’s Mail application in Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), but Entourage users may see either no syncing or partial syncing

OK, I’m not gonna give you all an Apple quote and say this post is made of Magic but instead I will tell you all that HTC have now released the Sense UI for the HTC Magic. The update will completely wipe your ROM so make sure you backup your data before taking the new UI accross and remember that you can view your contacts online with Android by visiting Google Contacts (sign into Google before visiting)

Some highlights of the final week of January 2010: we saw a fantastic game for the N900 called Numpty Physics, and Hiren showed us how to send MMS from the N900. WOMWorld played guess who with 40 Booklet 3Gs whilst Symbian put out a mysterious countdown (still ticking down – iz gonna be big apparently) and Apple announced a feminine hygiene solution. Nokia set the record straight for Steve Jobs about definitively being number one in the mobile industry, exceeding expectations with increased market share and profits.
