Video: Green Nokia N8 Hands On

It’s in Chinese but you don’t need to understand to oogle at the Green N8! Actually, half of all iPad Books are Fiction

Suggestions to my previous post inspired me to normalize our metadata1 for titles available through the U.S. iBooks app. A comment prompted me to rollup iBooks publishers into publishing conglomerates2: Comments from other readers gave me the idea to map the 100+ iBooks categories to the more familiar BISAC categories.

Laws are made to be ignored?

A former Director General of Police of Karnataka files a complaint against the highest officials in the state for non-implementation of the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act. It must be quite obvious that an ordinary citizen of India or a villager will never be able to file such a police complaint, it never happened thus far.

When a Haryana court handed down the death sentence to five family members this spring for murdering a young couple who’d married in violation of an arcane incest taboo, women’s rights activists hailed the decision as a landmark judgment.
