Set Opera Mini as default Android browser
Opera Mini has been available on Android for some time now but even since it’s full release there’s been a problem. The browser is outstanding, lightning fast, slick to use and packing some great features like Opera Link to sync your bookmarks but it can not be set as the system’s default browser. This meant that regardless of how good Opera is, you’d always be taken to the Android browser when clicking an external link e.g

More Than The Nexus One: HTC Incredible
When the Nexus One came out back in January, I was pretty excited. Google’s Nexus One featured a fantastically beautiful and thin Android device that could finally make Android a phone platform that would cause envy, even amongst iPhone users. To this day, the Nexus One is a great device that causes heads to turn when it is being used. However, the Nexus has been out for a few months now, so it’s time to look at what’s here and now in the Android handset market. Yesterday, I received an HTC Incredible from Verizon Wireless. The phone, not released yet, has an amazing array of features that put it beyond even the Nexus One. Here’s a rundown: 1 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor HTC Sense UI for much-needed shine in the user interface Android 2.1 8GB of onboard memory An impressive 8MP camera with huge lens

Moove Brings Touchless Music Player Control to 5800s
Does the name eyeSight ring any bells for our Tube5800 followers? If it doesn’t let us remind you that it is the same company which released the magical eyeCall application which we gaveaway in one of our Tube5800 contests dating back to June 2009! We have come a long way indeed and so has eyeSight which recently released their music player- Moove , which does more than playing the music! Perhaps the title of the post gave it away already, and if that didn’t the screenshot of Moove MP3 player welcome screen on the left should have. The USP of this app is not the music player but the control mechanism which puts the front facing camera to good use.

Video chat looks to be a lock in iPhone OS 4.0
It appears that more and more evidence is starting to mount that the next iPhone will feature support for video chat. Multiple references have been discovered in the latest iPhone OS 4 beta code. It looks there have been several mentions of one on one and group video chats within an iChat app for the new iPhone OS. Apple already has three different servers set up to handle the load for this service but they are currently only accessible through Apple’s intranet. Also found within the build were mentions to chat rooms and moderation which the website 9to5mac.com speculates will be used for a new Game Center. As is always the case just because something is included in the pre-release software is no guarantee that it will be included when the final product is launched. But since there has been instances of several well connected people eluding to the fact that video chat appeared to be on the horizon this looks like just another bit of evidence that something along the lines of an iChat app is on the way. With each passing day the iPhone OS 4 is creating more and more buzz. It looks like there are going to be a lot more updates and upgrades included in this latest OS release for the iPhone than initially expected. The big buzz generated by the upcoming release of the iPhone OS 4 was the ability for users to multitask and run several apps at the same time. Now throw in the ability to stage one on one or group video conferences and it sounds like the iPhone OS 4 is set to be one of the best smartphone operating systems on the market today

Haiti Relief Marks A Milestone in Mobile Giving
It turns out more and more people are reaching for their mobile phones when the time comes to help out causes they believe in.
