CNET is reporting that Apple has responded to the reports claiming that the next release of Final Cut Pro will be refocused more for “prosumers,” and away from the the “Pro” market. “Final Cut Pro is the first choice for professional video editors, and we’ve never been more excited about its future,” Apple spokesman Bill Evans told CNET

I remember when I was able to store just about every document that I ever wanted on a single 1.44MB floppy disk. That was a very long time ago and I don’t know anyone who still uses the format. Well, Sony seems to think so too, because it just killed the floppy disk.  Other manufacturers have long since abandoned the file saving format, but Sony stuck around and kept making new disks… until now

HTC Wildfire set to be released with Android 2.1

At a recent press conference in Germany HTC has officially announced a Q3 release of their latest handset called Wildfire.  This new HTC Unlocked (Wildfire) device  is set to be released in Europe and Asia later this year.  The new smartphone will come equipped with quadband GSM and 900/1200 MGz UMTS/HSDAP radios to the Android 2.1 operating system as well as a Qualcomm MSM 7225 processor running at 525MHz.  Other specs for this new handset include HTC’s Sense UI, 3.2 inch QVGA touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, 802.11b/g WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 512 MB Flash and 384 MB of RAM, and microSD expansion.
