iPhone é lançado na Índia sem a euforia do Ocidente

O imensamente popular iPhone 3G da Apple foi lançado nesta sexta-feira na Índia, mas o preço de 700 dólares pelo qual será vendido lá não permitiu a histeria em massa que marcou o lançamento do aparelho nos Estados Unidos, na Europa e em partes da Ásia no mês passado. A cerca de três vezes o preço de varejo praticado nos Estados Unidos e custando duas vezes mais que o salário médio de executivos de escalão intermediário na Índia, o aparelho talvez ainda encontre compradores entre os profissionais liberais urbanos e afluentes, que vêm adquirindo produtos de marcas conhecidas e bens de luxo e ajudando a alimentar a economia trilionária desse gigante asiático.
